Guns n Roses (Ortolan Margarita)

INGREDIENTS

1 oz Ortolan Rosolio

1 oz Mezcal (or substitute blanco tequila for a margarita)

1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

1/4 oz Agave Syrup (optional)

GLASSWARE

Low-Ball (rocks) or Coupe (up)

PREP

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake, strain, serve up or on the rocks. Alternatively, combine all ingredients in the shaker except for the Ortolan. Shake, strain, then delicately pour the Ortolan over the back of a spoon sitting against the edge of the glass to “sink” the Ortolan and create a layered effect.
